Abstract
Priopćenje za tisak, ili medijsko priopćenje, se jedva promijenilo u formatu otkako ga je 1906. godine izumio Ivy Ledbetter Lee. Namjera ovog rada jest da se istraži kako rastuća važnost društvenih medija i postepeno propadanje tradicionalnih medija utječu na praksu i predviđanja hrvatskih praktičara odnosa s javnošću u odnosu na priopćenje za medije kao tehnike odnosa s javnošću. Autor rada u istraživanje ulazi s hipotezom kako su praktičari odnosa s javnošću mišljenja da će se priopćenje za medije u budućnosti morati mijenjati zbog promjene formata i prirode samih medija. Provedeni su dubinski intervjui s petero hrvatskih praktičara odnosa s javnošću raznolikih pozadina i iskustava. Nakon analize intervjua, zaključuje se da će medijsko priopćenje opstati, ali će se vjerojatno transformirati u multimedijski alat ili na druge, nepredvidive, načine zbog tehnoloških promjena.
Abstract (english)
The press release, or the media release, has hardly changed format since its invention by Ivy Ledbetter Lee in 1906. It is the purpose of this paper to explore how the increasing importance of social media and the gradual decline of traditional media affect practices and predictions in Croatian public relations practitioners relating to the media release as a public relations tool. In-depth interviews were conducted with five Croatian public relations practitioners of differing backgrounds and experiences. The author begins the research hypothesizing that public relations practitioners hold opinions indicating that the media release will have to change in the future due to the changing nature and format of the media. After analysing the interviews, it was concluded that the media release is here to stay as an indispensable tool for public relations, but is likely to change to a multimedia format or in other, unpredictable, ways due to technology change.
