Focus of the work "Public Relations and their application in Health Care" is functioning and implementation of public relations in health care system, the reason for its necessity and the need for organized public relations departments. Paper is organized in six chapters which are then divided in several subchapters. At the beginning of the paper, there is an introduction that describes what is planned to write and explore. After that, in section "Public Relations" basic concepts of public relations, all things related to the public and the basic elements through which the development and use of public relations can be monitored is discussed. The basis of development of public relations throughout history is communication and public relations of today is founded on it. After defining public relations and communication, paper continues by defining public relations in health care, its present situation and the base for its future development, as the main part of this work. Public relations in health service are explored and explained through communication and all the participants, the public, the stakeholders, the media and all others involved. Crisis communication is a vital part of every company, and it is especially important in the public health service. Crisis communication should be dealt with thorough public relations This part of public relations has its place in all companies, organizations, and it is especially important in the health service sector in which time of response to crisis situation is crucial. Accidents happens and some events cannot be avoided, but must be dealt with special care and attention to mend and repair the situation that happened. Final chapter talks about social services which are an important part of health care and they play a major role within and outside health care system. Conclusion is derived from all previously mentioned theory and data concerning public relations in health service, gathered from various sources.
