Abstract
Možemo sa sigurnošću reći da su masovni mediji neizostavan dio naših života jer preko njih dobivamo sve informacije o svijetu. Gotovo ne možemo zamisliti život bez korištenja medija jer oni nas educiraju, zabavijaju i šire naše spoznaje. Masovni mediji postali su vrlo važan čimbenik u obrazovanju i odgoju. Korištenjem medija, djeca i mladi itekako stvaraju dojmove i mišljenja, formiraju stavove i vrijednosti, i to još od najranije dobi. Kod mladih postoji naočigled visoka osviještenost o medijima, o njihovim pozitivnim i negativnim utjecajima, što može zavarati odrasle vezano uz potrebe medijskoga obrazovanja. U ovome ćemo radu govoriti o ulozi masovnih medija u društvu, koje su njihove pozitivne i negativne strane vezane za obrazovanje i odgoj.
Abstract (english)
We can state that mass media are indispensable part of our lives because through them we collect important information about the world around us. It‘s hard to imagine life without the media, because they educate and entertain us, and generally broaden our knowledge. The mass media have become a very important part in the education and upbringing of the younger generations. Through the media, children surely create impressions and opinions, form attitudes and values, and that begins from a very early stage. Young people have apparently high awareness of media, about their positive and negative impacts, which can mislead adults when it comes to the question of importance of media education.What is the role of mass media in society, which are their positive and negative aspects related to the education and upbringing is main topic of this work.
