Abstract
Neprofitne organizacije su organizacije kojima stjecanje profita nije u fokusu poslovanja. Međutim to ne znači da nisu poslovno i konkurentno orijentirane. Moraju biti izvan kontrole države u njihov način rada i djelovati po načelu etičnosti, transparentnosti, objektivnosti i nepristranosti. Svaka neprofitna organizacija mora imati jasno iskazanu misiju i viziju. Za provođenje misije potrebni su im određeni resursi, ljudski i financijski kapital, odnosno da bi ostale na tržištu također moraju imati svoj menadžment koji provodi poslovne planove. Uski dio menadžmenta je u većini neprofitnih organizacija direktno vezan i za provođenje aktivnosti odnosa s javnošću. Odnosi s javnošću su bitan faktor svake organizacije jer grade i njeguju suradnju između organizacije i njezinih javnosti. Odnosi s javnošću imaju zadatak plasirati viziju ciljnim skupinama organizacije, razvijati dobre odnose s medijima i konstantno provoditi komunikacijske aktivnosti i za njih slobodno možemo reći da služe javnom interesu.
Abstract (english)
For non-profit organizations, profit is not in focus of their business. However, this does not mean that they are not business and competitive oriented. Non-profit organizations must be out of government control and act on the principles of ethics, transparency, objectivity and impartiality. Each non-profit organization needs to have a clear mission and vision. To carry out their mission, they need certain resources, like human and financial capital, and management who executes business plans of the organization. In most of the cases, management of non-profit organizations are directly linked to public relations activities. Public relations are an importantfactor for each organization as they build and nurture co-operation between the organization and its public. Public relations's duty is to place a vision towards the organization's target groups, developing good media relations and constantly implementing communication activities. We can say that public relations serves the public interest of the organization.
