The paper presents the thesis that the war conflicts in Syria after the Arab Spring were not conventional, but were the immediate conflicts of interest of major external powers, primarily the U.S. and Russia. The U.S. and Russia participated directly on the battlefields, but also through financing of individual internal warring factions and media warfare. The paper describes how journalistic reports are predominantly biased depending on the interests of the country in which they were published. The work is conceived in several units; the introduction describes an overview of the main themes of the work, then the first unit provides a historical overview of recent events in the Syrian Arab Republic, the changes brought by the arrival of Bashar al-Assad to power and a brief overview of the structure of society. The second unit deals with the background of the beginning of the Arab Spring and the elaboration of geopolitical interests on the ground in Syria that has led to the internationalization of the conflicts themselves. The third part is a brief overview of media coverage and diversity in the reporting of the same event, and it is accompanied by a brief review of official US reports in relation to the media. The last part mentions possible solutions to the conflict and possible problems that will come with the normalization of the situation.
