Abstract
Tijekom razgovora s drugom osobom ne govore samo riječi već čitavo tijelo. Naime, neverbalnom komunikacijom prenosimo više nego samim riječima. „S obzirom na to da osobe često nisu svjesne da komuniciraju i neverbalno, govor tijela i ostali neverbalni signali su iskreniji od same verbalne komunikacije tj. onoga što čovjek govori.“ (Navarro, 2010: 17) Važan dio neverbalne komunikacije čine geste koje se mogu definirati kao pokret udova ili tijela kojim se izražava neka misao ili osjećaj ili se popraćuje govor. Također, napominje se i preneseno značenje ovoga pojma kao ono što je učinjeno, kao formalan znak nakane ili odnos prema tome. Geste se najčešće dijele na simbole, ilustratore, regulatore, adaptatore i pokazivače efekta. Geste i njihova značenja razlikuju se od kulture do kulture te je stoga značenje svake geste vrlo važno dobro iščitati.
Abstract (english)
During conversation with another person they speak not only words but the entire body. With nonverbal communication we can say more than in words. Given that people are often unaware od communicating non-verbal, body language and other nonverbal signs are more sincere that verbal communion, that is, what people are saying. An important part of nonverbal communication is gesture that is they can be defined as a movement of limbs or bodies expressing some thought or feeling or engaging in speech. Also, the meaning of this term is transmitted and transmitted as what has been done, as a formal sign of intent or attitude towards it. Gestures are most commonly divided into symbols, illustrators, regulators, adapters, and effects indicators. Gestures and their meanings differ from culture to culture and hence the meaning of each gesture is very important to read well.
